JESSICA SHIN
Jessica Shin is New York based artist focused on traditional acrylic painting. She was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea until the age of 14, in 2013, she immigrated to Connecticut, and in 2017 she entered Parsons School of Design in New York to pursue fashion design degree. The encounter with different cultures and environments reshaped the way she looked at life. Through these shifts, she came to realize that what truly matters is not success or wealth, but the quiet happiness of everyday life shared with loved ones.
This happiness is never grand. It is found in the serenity of nature beside someone she loves, in the pie baked slowly in the kitchen, in the ordinary yet precious time with her dog, in a simple cup of coffee on the street, or in the warmth of freshly laundered sheets. Her gaze rests on these fleeting moments.
For her, art is not a record of great achievements, but a language through which she captures the beauty hidden in the everyday. Bright colors and fluid brushstrokes become her way of honoring these small fragments of life, allowing them to radiate anew and inviting others to recall their own tender moments. In this way, her art becomes a form of communion with the world.
